Testimonial
Paula is a healer. I am honored to have worked with her for over
two years. During that time, she used
her skills to bring me to a new level of peace and grace. She
seemingly has endless talents in her spiritual medicine chest. Using her own inner spiritual guides she
chooses from her gifts in Reiki, massage, reflexology, and oils to restore
health and calming. I would strongly
recommend her to anyone who understands that healing comes from within.

The Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra
Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra belongs to Lord Shiva (Mahakaal) (Lord of death, destruction, meditation and penance). Mahamrityunjaya Mantra is one the most significant Mantra in Indian tradition and mysticism. Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra is found in the ancient holy book Rig Veda and Shiva Purana. The basic energy of Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra is to conquer death and darkness.
While its energy protects and guides the initiates a mantra re-links consciousness to its deeper and more abiding nature and repetition of the mantra constitutes Japa, the practice of which develops concentration that leads to a transformation of awareness.
Whereas the Gayatri Mantra is meant for purification and spiritual guidance, the Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra is meant for healing. rejuvenation. and nurturance.[11]

Yoga Nidra and the Element Water - The Lotus Lake Cave
Namaste All,
I offer Love and Blessings.
Today we explore the Grand Cave of the Lotus Lake. Pass under the great archway and enter the sunlight cave with its many avenues.
Float inside the main room with its high ceiling, and enjoy gentle waves and breeze.
THE DEFINITION OF
LOTUS
From: http://www.dictionary.com/browse/lotus

1.
a plant believed to be a jujube or elm, referred to in Greek legend asyielding a fruit that induced a state of dreamy and contentedforgetfulness in those who ate it.
2.
the fruit itself.
3.
any aquatic plant of the genus Nelumbo, of the water lily family, havingshieldlike leaves and showy, solitary flowers usually projecting abovethe water.
4.
any of several water lilies of the genus Nymphaea.
5.
a decorative motif derived from such a plant and used widely in ancientart, as on the capitals of Egyptian columns.
6.
any shrubby plant of the genus Lotus, of the legume family, having red, pink, yellow, or white flowers.
Click on the video for the Yoga Nidra and the Element Water recording.
Water represents emotions. What's the invitation of the cave?
TYPES OF LOTUSES
- Nelumbo, a genus of aquatic plants with showy flowers
- Nelumbo nucifera, the Sacred or Indian lotus
- Nelumbo lutea, the American or Yellow lotus
- Certain species of Nymphaea (water lilies or Egyptian lotuses):
- Nymphaea caerulea, also known as blue lotus
- Nymphaea lotus, white lotus or sacred lotus
- Nymphaea nouchali, also known as star lotus
- Lotus (genus) (including bird's-foot trefoils and deervetches), a terrestrial genus with small flowers
- Saussurea (snow lotus), a herbaceous species from the Himalayan vicinity
- Ziziphus lotus, a shrub species with edible fruit
- Date-plum or Caucasian persimmon, a tree with edible fruit
But, like a rose, does anyone really know a lotus without touching it, or smelling it, or tasting it, up close and intimately?
Technologies are cutting through time ans space to allow for connection in new ways.
What are your thoughts, feelings, knowings around the use of technologies like blogs and audio recordings as tools of self-exploration?
I wonder, will we be able to eat rose petals in virtual reality?
Be well and be blessed,
Paula

Yoga Nidra - Short Form for Rest & Relaxation

I am a near Christmas baby, being born at 1:1 5 AM, or so, on December 26th. Hence, the C for Carol. December 26th is know as Boxing Day, and is a big holiday and shopping day in England.
From Wikipedia: The European tradition, which has long included giving money and other gifts to those who were needy and in service positions, has been dated to the Middle Ages, but the exact origin is unknown. It is believed to be in reference to the Alms Box placed in areas of worship to collect donations to the poor.
Be aware that the following link is really pushing the lobster rolls at McD.
While I am working on loading other, long version recordings of Yoga Nidra and the 5 Elements, I have added a short version recording for your rest, relaxation, renewal, and rejuvenation pleasure.
Mind can use a rest too.

The Divine Peace Reiki & Wellness Center Calendar for July 2016
The Divine Peace
Reiki & Wellness Center – July 2016
Saturdays from 4 to 5:30 PM Yoga Nidra and the 5 Elements
While resting in stillness, you are systematically guided
through an experience of the five koshas or layers of your being, with an
emphasis on one of the five elements (Earth, Water, Fire, Air, Ether). Each
layer is a doorway that opens into the next level. As we bring deep
awareness to each individual layer, the coverings dissolve away, allowing us to
exist simply as our True Selves. In this state of purity and
authenticity, transformative healing can occur. Cost: $25 per session/$100
for the series paid in advance. RSVP
required
All explorations are on Thursday from 6:30 – 8 PM.*
